The group meets Sunday nights 7:00- 9:00 PM in the youth room which is located in the lower level of the rectory (Use the cemetery road, park in the cul-de-sac and use the back entrance).
Through prayer and discussions, videos and music, games and activities, we explore our faith in our everyday lives and work at becoming intentional disciples of Christ. Lots of extra activities pop up all year long, so check the bulletin for current events. The Youth Group participates in weekend retreats, diocesan programs, service projects, and fun social events. Sometimes we join other parish youth groups in order to nurture our faith while meeting other catholic teens. If you would like more details, contact Mrs. Dewan at mcdewan@holyspiritrcs.org.

Due to many factors, the annual March for Life in Washington D.C. had to happen virtually last weekend. The Holy Spirit Youth Group decided to act locally to give a voice to the unborn and held a Pro-Life prayer rally on the grounds of Holy Spirit Parish. Teens and family members made a “mini” march to the cemetery and prayed a rosary for an end to abortion and for success of the Pro-life movement. Afterwards, the group took signs they had made and stood in the snow (what a sacrifice to make for the vulnerable unborn!) facing Winans Lake Road to witness to those driving by. We received overwhelmingly positive responses which certainly gave great encouragement to the participants. We finished the rally by praying the Divine Mercy chaplet near the grave of the babies that were rescued from the dumpster of an abortion clinic. The teens were hopeful that they will one day see Roe v. Wade over-turned, but they also recognized that there is much to be done. There is no greater time to fight for the unborn and to help mothers experiencing a crisis pregnancy realize that there is help for them. ~Mrs. Dewan
