What is Alpha?
Alpha is a once a week course, that centers around a meal. After the meal there is a ½ hour video on one of the topics below, then an open discussion about the topic. Topics include:
1. Is there more to life than this?
2. Who is Jesus?
3. Why did Jesus die?
4. How can I have faith?
5. Why and how should I pray and read the bible?
6. How does God guide us?
7. Who is the Holy Spirit?
8. How can I resist Evil?
9. Why and how should I tell others?
10. Does God heal today?
11. What about the Church?
What Room, Day and Time?
Alpha in 2017 will run at the times noted above. It starts the week of January 22nd and ends the week of April 2nd. There is a half day retreat the week of March 5th.
How Long Are the Sessions?
The sessions will run approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours
Can I miss a session if I need to?
Yes. If you need to miss a session or two, due to prior personal commitments, just let your leader know and they will direct you to a website where you can view the missed program video.
What are the ages? Is there childcare? Will there be a meal for those in childcare?
Alpha is a program for adults, young and old. Child care is available for home Alpha at the dwelling of the weekly host.
What Is the Cost?
No Cost. Donations, as you’re able, will be accepted towards meals.
